AWARD CATEGORIES EXPLANATION
1- Telecommunications Professional of the Year – female category / male category (Individual Award) - By public voting
This award recognizes the executive in the telecommunications industry with a minimum of 13 years in the role and has demonstrated outstanding commercial success, leadership qualities, disruptive initiatives, and community service throughout their career.
2- Best Digital Transformation Project (Applicable for operators) - By jury
This award will go to the project that has done the most to achieve digital transformation in an organization and can best demonstrate the resulting benefits.
3- Best Innovation Operator of the Year (Applicable for operators) - By jury
The winner will be the operator that can best demonstrate significant achievements in innovation over the last two years based on the KPIs they wish to be judged. These could include business growth, technological achievements, or product innovation.
4- Telecommunications Regulator of the Year - By jury
This award recognizes new or innovative regulatory policy and approaches. It acknowledges an outstanding contribution and achievement of a regulator that promotes an efficient and effective telecommunications policy.
5- Best 5G Innovation of the Year (Applicable for providers) - By jury
The winner will be the provider with the product or initiative considered to have done the most to develop the business case for 5G. This could take the form of a technological or business innovation, as long as the entry clearly demonstrates a significant contribution to the 5G ecosystem.
6- Best Sustainability Initiative in Telecom of the Year (environmental and social projects)
(Applicable for operators) - By jury
The winner will be the operator that best exemplifies sustainability through initiatives that reduce waste and energy consumption, as well as social initiatives. This category will reward the initiative that highlights sustainable practices and a positive impact within the telecommunications industry.
7- Best Security Project of the Year (Applicable for providers and operators) - By jury
This category will reward the project that excels in mitigating cybersecurity threats for telecommunications operators. Entries will demonstrate excellence in areas such as security, protection against fraudulent activities, mitigation, data protection, cloud security, and everything else. Judges will look to understand the prevented threats, the impact on businesses, and the technologies used to defend networks.
